WELCOME TO FISHGUARD BAY YACHT CLUB

Fishguard Bay Yacht Club provides amenities for dinghy sailing, yachting and rowing in North Pembrokeshire.

The club is situated on the end of the quay in picturesque Lower Town, Fishguard. The stone building was originally a flour store in the days when the harbour was a bustling stop-off point for trading ships. It was purchased by a small group of keen sailors in 1947, and has undergone extensive refurbishment over the years, to make it the attractive club that it is today. As well as club events, the building is used for functions such as wedding receptions, birthdays, and other social occasions.

The club has a busy sailing calendar, with a thriving junior section and cruiser sailing. It is amalgamated with the Fishguard and Goodwick Jemima Rowing Club.
Fishguard Bay provides an exciting sailing area, with a sheltered bay which is ideal for learners, and the wider reaches of the Irish Sea just beyond. The spectacular scenery of Pembrokeshire makes it an ideal venue for sailing and socialising.

We have hosted championships for Redwings,Supernovas, Lightnings and the Yachting World Day Boats, and we welcome enquiries from small classes about hosting future events.

We will again be hosting the Yachting World Day Boat Championships in August 2012.

FBYC has received a donation from the winding up of the Lower Town Harbour Users Association. It was requested that the money go towards the Youth Sailing section, and the money has already been put to good use by purchasing some new Topper sails.
We extend our thanks to the Association for this generous gesture.
